Open the account menu — your business name at the bottom of the sidebar — and choose Refer & earn. On a phone it's in the More sheet. You'll find your personal link there, with buttons to copy or share it.
How it works

Your link looks like suddenly.co.nz/r/your-salon-jd. Text it, email it, put it in a group chat — anywhere you like.
They sign up and go live
They get their first month free the moment they sign up. Then they set up and take a booking.
You get a free month
When their first real booking comes through, your free month lands automatically. No claiming, no invoicing.
The bit worth knowing
Your reward is triggered by their first booking — not their signup, and not their first payment. That's deliberate: it means you're rewarded when someone you sent us actually got value, not just when they filled in a form.
What each side gets
- They get — their first month free, applied automatically at signup. If they've already had a free trial with us, they keep that instead; nobody gets two.
- You get — one free month of your own subscription per business you refer.
- If you're on a paid plan — it lands as credit on your account equal to one month's charge, GST included. It comes off your next invoice automatically.
- If you're on Free or still in a trial — we add 30 days to your trial instead, so you get the same value at whatever point you start paying.
Credit, not cash
Referral rewards are always free months on your own account. We don't pay commission and there's no cash-out — this is a thank-you between salon owners, not an affiliate scheme.
The rules
- Available on every plan, including Free. You don't have to be paying to refer someone.
- No cap. Refer five salons, get five free months.
- One referral per business. A business can only ever be referred once — whoever's link they used first.
- No referring yourself. Signing up a second account with your own link won't work.
- They must be new. The link has to be used at signup; it can't be applied to an existing account afterwards.
From time to time we run a launch boost that doubles the reward. If one's running when your referral goes live, the higher rate is locked in for that referral — even if the boost ends later.
If they leave quickly
If someone you referred cancels within 60 days of going live, a reward that hasn't been used yet may be reversed. One that's already been applied to your account stays yours. Full detail is in the referral terms.
